My first burst of anger here.

Today i had my first genuine burst of anger directed at somebody here. Those are having less work need more less of it. The anger was not at the thing but it was that it made me angry. I never wanted to be angry with anybody. But then sometimes it happens. Externally, it may see that i am angry over somebody else but i think i got angry over myself only that i failed to live up to someone, i conjure, can never be annoyed.

Writers vs. God

This random thought came into my mind that writers are like God. God is generally seen as creater, preserver & destroyer of all lives. But writer also does the same thing. He creates characters, he nurtures them, make them grow, brings moments of joy and sorrows into their life and at the end, pull them back from the stage.
Writer also perform the function of God in their own way.

FountainHead

The protagonist of this book, Howard Roark is an architect. He believes that every building has its own purpose and it must be built in that way only. Howard is a man who has never thought about other people. He does not recognise even their existence and therefore, what they think about him or about his work has never disturbed him. He denounces use of beautification works while constructing buildings but it was the thing which most people want and thatswhy it is the thing which is being told in all the leading schools of architecture.
Howard never compromised on this. Maybe this word "compromise" is not there for him at all. He got expelled from his school. He could not make money in his profession but he never sold himself to the world. He stood intact on his beliefs.
This seems to be the true spirit of being a person. Having one's own ideas. People do not know themselves. Most of them are like shells stuffed with the opinions of others. They try do what others would approve as great. They try to achieve the position which is called a great one by other people.
This thought is baffling but it seems to be the truth, an eternal truth. I can't imagine the world where people would start believing themselves and doing what they think they have to do. It may be a complete mess or it may be a complete bliss. But it would be dangerous to go into that state. I don't believe it would happen because people would remain moving like a blind following another blind. It is not easy for them to accept their own self nor it is desirable.

Fear of Extra

Most of us live in syndrome i name as "Fear of Extra". We always fear that i should not give something extra that i am supposed to. When we have to go somewhere we plan ourselves as we should not reach earlier. In the process, most of time we reach only after the scheduled time. Whenever we are doing some work, we ensure that we are not doing any thing extra. In the process, we end up doing short of expecation sometimes. We reserve our praise for someone fearing that we should not shower it extra. This is i call "Fear of Extra".

My holidays

I recently had some good "holi" days, literally. I went on 10th of march to meerut to celebrate holi there. Monu also came from bangalore. added to it was visit from Ruchi along with her family. It was a great vacation. The only sad moment is when i prepared to leave for Mumbai. I hate to give see off as well as being getting seen off.

Budget speech by Bansi Mehta

Yesterday, i went to listen to a speech on budget by bansi mehta, a renowned CA of mumbai city. His last year speech was really very good. But this time, i never felt that a new budget came. it is more like extension of previous budget for one more year. no new or radical changes has been brought down.
Therefore, in morning i decided against going to listen to his speech. But by evening, i started having second thoughts. So, at last i, dilip, sicoh went together to churchgate to listen the speech. Sudip, Ashu, Rajnish, Bijay, Vishal, Vikas, Gopal & Susheel came directly. But as expected, the speech was a definite underplay in comparison to last year speech. I would give the credit only to the eloquence of Bansi Mehta that he made people to sit and listen for around two and a half years. This person is having immense knowledge of tax laws. He knows even now the sections of Acts which have been repealed now like MRTP, FERA etc.
By attending such speeches, one of the greatest benefit is that one gets motivated enough to think that why it is so that i am having an equally good brain but i do not know that much. I can't say about others but with me, it always happens. To be a good speaker, one needs to have some very good masala also like bansi mehta is having. he quoted many things from various sources. it may be a saying of winston churchill or a story from Merchant of Venice. some of his stories and other masala i can remember now are:
1) There was a great explorer. Once upon a time, he along with his team and a dog named julia went on the north pole exploration. Due to unforeseen weather conditions, they got struk in a storm and one by one all his companions died. In the end, the explorer and julie only remained alive. Now with the passig of some more days, all the food got consumed. The explorer had to eat something. So he killed his beloved dog julie and started eating. He came across a bone of julie. Seeing this, the explorer became very sentimental and sighed "Oh, Julie would have loved this".
The point was that when he himself killed julie, what's the point in lamenting now.
2) Definition of Beaurocrats : He is the person who would find problem for every
solution.
3) There was a cruel moneylender. He lended some money to a poor man and asked him that he would have to give pound of his flesh if he fails to repay the money. Daughter of the poor man was a lawyer. Now, unfortunately, the poor man could not repay in time. Money lender asked for the pound of his flesh now. The poor was arguing to give him some more time but the lender was not ready to budge. The girl interuptted in between and asked the lender to speak the terms aloud. The lender told that the person promised to pay a pound of his flesh if he fails to pay back the loan to the lender. The girl cleverly said " ok! he must give a pound of flesh now to you but ensure that that pound is extracted without any blood because only pound of flesh was promised not blood."
4) You can have a headache only if you are having a head.

My first love

Teaching is my first love. May be my lover is evading me for long but it still remains at No.1 in my heart. Today, i took two classes on Service Tax rules & Cenvat Credit Rules 2004 and the practices relating to Service Tax as followed in MTNL. Now, i am seriously thinking about my joining this line only. I have been thinking of it for some time but now i feel that my befief "that for me, it is teaching or education" stands vindicated. It may be a good omen (going by alchemist that you have to look and accept omens that fall in your path by Almighty to direct you, if you ignore them, they would stop coming and you'll never be able to realise your destiny.)

This lecture was arranged by Arshi for me and i am so much thankful to him.

A broken promise.

So, at last my this promise of writing one mail daily stands broken now. I am here again after full eight days. It is always easy to start a thing, difficulty comes while continuing it. Saying Tested and found OK.
Yesterday, we celebrated birthday party of Ashu. There was a lot of fun. we all did singing and dancing. Dinner was prepared by our chief chef and as usual, it was utimate. he had definitely made all the ladies in the party to get some dose of jealousness. party went on till 2 in the morning and in comparison to previous parties, it was more fun.
